About The Youth, Technology and Virtual Communities (YTVC) Conferences  : Building on the success of the past six Youth, Technology and Virtual Communities (YTVC) Conferences, the Queensland Police Service State Crime Command’s Argos is excited to launch the 2019 YTVC Conference this week.

Recent advances in technology have not only provided unprecedented opportunities for child sex offenders to produce, supply and circulate child exploitation material, it has delivered unheralded access to children via social media.

“Prevent, Protect, Prosecute” continues as the theme for the 2019 conference focusing on ‘Paraphilia’, providing attendees with the latest developments, strategies and solutions in the collaborative effort of combating crimes against children.

The conference is aimed at practitioners in the fields of law enforcement, prosecution, education, child protective services, social work, children’s advocacy and therapy who work directly with child victims of crime.
